      Mausoleum Barclay de Tolly in Valga County is a small white building with columns and triangular pediment at the entrance. The mausoleum was built in 1823 on the initiative of the widow of Commander Barclay de Tolly. The project was completed Petersburg architect Apollo Shchedrin.

      Inside the tomb is a monument, and in the cellars, where visitors permitted to enter in coffins buried the body of the mausoleum of Barclay de Tolly, and husband and wife. Field Marshal Mikhail Barclay de Tolly is known as the largest Russian commander and one of the most famous people who had connections with Estonia. Barclay de Tolly gained his fame in hostilities against Napoleon. Historical exhibition on the activities and life of the commander has been opened in a former warden in 2008. The mausoleum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, the entrance fee - 1-2 euros.
